Entryway Settee

for Ry...

I have a new project in mind, it involves a partially distressed oak plank.


Propped up to dry after a thorough power washing.


Plank sanded with holes drilled for the legs. Beginnings of planing the squarish legs to fit the round holes.



Legs planed and pounded in.



Applying linseed oil. Man this thing is dry, it probably took a quart.



Taking shape now, drying in partial shade. Linseed oil uses oxygen to cure. I'm taking this time to check on it every few minutes, hitting spots again that are sucking in the oil, and ragging off excess.


Done.
